Offering a portfolio of North American itineraries, the new brand is comprised of American Queen Voyages River, American Queen Voyages Lakes & Oceans and American Queen Voyages Expedition.
American Queen Voyages River is led by American Queen, thought to be the largest riverboat in the world. It offers departures from Memphis, New Orleans, Cincinnati, Louisville, Pittsburgh, St Louis and Minneapolis.
Formerly Victory Cruise Lines, American Queen Voyages Lakes & Ocean encompasses the brand’s voyages to Canada, the Great Lakes, New England, Eastern Seaboard, Mexico and the Yucatan Peninsula.
Sailing on identical 202-passenger ships Ocean Voyager and Ocean Navigator, formerly Victory I and Victory II respectively, it offers small-ship cruising with shore excursions and onboard programming.
American Queen Voyages Expedition marks the company’s expansion into expedition cruising. It will operate all-inclusive cruises to Alaska onboard Ocean Victory in 2022 and Ocean Discoverer in 2023.
Shawn Bierdz, president of American Queen Voyages, said the line has "surged from the great American rivers to include lakes, ocean and expedition experiences".
"Today, we are American Queen Voyages and embrace this simple but important expression – discovery runs deep," he added.
"As we move into this new chapter and introduce our version of encounter travel, we uphold the originating vision of our company’s founder and chairman, John Waggoner and his unwavering belief in the renaissance of US river cruising and close-to-home adventures."
