Sandy Murray from Sandy’s Travel Escapes organises the yearly Yorkshire Ball, with this year’s Ball raising £5,000. Up to £95,000 had been raised over the years, with this year’s Ball helping to reach the £100,000 mark.
The event was held at the Village Hotel South Leeds with some 122 people in attendance.
Murray said she wished to thank Jet2 for their sponsorship of the band as well as Classic Collection who also contributed to the evening.
Funds raised have gone to a series of animal charities including Greek Cat Welfare, Starlight Barking Dogs, Trunks Up Elephants, Brooke Horses & Donkeys, PDSA and Hull Greyhound Rescue.
“A huge thank you to everyone who provided raffle prizes,” said Murray as she urged the industry to “put 21 July 2022 in your diary for next year’s Yorkshire Travel Ball”.
