More than 70 businesses have relinquished their Atol licences, the CAA has confirmed.
A number of travel operators had until March 31 to request the CAA renew their licence.
In total, 73 firms either did not apply to renew, chose not to renew, or applied for their licences to be revoked.
Another 71 businesses wishing to renew their licences are awaiting confirmation by the CAA, either because they failed to apply by midnight on March 31 or because their applications were incomplete.
