The vessel is the latest in the line’s suite ship concept, which has two decks of all-suite accommodation and 30% more cabin space than the industry average.
Each suite also features wall-to-wall panoramic windows, which can be opened to turn the cabin into an open-air balcony.
The 128-passenger vessel will largely operate on the Rhine, offering an eight-day Romantic Rhine itinerary between Amsterdam and Basel.
This week also sees the launch of a second new ship, Avalon Passion, which will give Avalon Waterways a total of 12 suite ships in its 16-ship fleet.
The line’s UK general manager David Binns said: “We are delighted to add another suite ship to our fleet as demand from the UK continues to strengthen for our brand of relaxed-style luxury river cruising.
“This month we are committed to providing as many UK agents as possible with the opportunity of enjoying the personal service, sleek design and Avalon river cruise experience available on an Avalon suite ship. This includes a Clia-hosted fam trip for agents who haven’t experienced a river cruise before.”
