The Silversea Selling Suite covers five areas, including a webinar and Facebook page. However, chief among the attractions for agents is a new loyalty scheme, Silversea Agent Rewards, which will offer Amazon or Love2shop voucher codes for each eligible booking.
Each Silversea Agent Rewards point equates to £1 or the euro equivalent in gift vouchers, and agents can process claims and earn money to redeem at their convenience. Agents can also access the website via a dedicated app.
“Rather than doing monthly incentives, we are looking to do something where agents can bank money,” said Erin Johnson, Silversea’s UK, Ireland, Middle East and Africa marketing director.
“Each month there may be a different focus on different earning potential.” She told TTG all the initiatives were the result of Silversea having “listened to what agents want”.
The line’s new Facebook page features selling tips, marketing ideas and information from its sales team. “It’s a way for the trade to know exactly what we are doing,” said Johnson.
Silversea’s new Webinar Wednesdays, run by trainer Luke Clarke, will be held on the first Wednesday of each month and will cover product, destinations, how best to sell and what is selling well.
Peter Shanks, Silversea managing director UK, Ireland, Middle East and Africa, added: “It really endorses our commitment to the trade and I am excited that we can help agents further develop and grow their business with Silversea, especially within a busy wave period.”
Two other initiatives have also been confirmed specifically to bolster agents’ sales and marketing efforts. Silversea’s Marketing Central will offer agents the ability to customise marketing materials with their own contact information and logos. Agents can download these materials to print or email, or use the platform to order printed supplies, which can be sent straight to clients.
Alternatively, agents can anonymously use the in-built email service provider to target clients on their databases, with data on open rates then provided afterwards.
Meanwhile, travel agent resources will also include downloadable literature, including information manuals and deck plans.
