Gill will start on 27 June, replacing Tasha Smith, who left the business this month. He will manage the firm’s trade support team and will be based at Blue Bay’s headquarters in Stoke-on-Trent.
His team deals with all aftersales queries and support for members of The Midcounties Co-operative’s Travel division, Your Co-op Travel, Co-op Travel Consortium and The Personal Travel Agents. Gill will oversee the team, ensuring it delivers "exceptional" service and "goes the extra mile" for agent partners.
As well as building on the relationship with The Midcounties Co-operative’s agents, Gill will work with the team at Blue Bay to further grow the Blue Bay Hotels business.
Gill joins Blue Bay from The Midcounties Co-operative, where he was an online branch manager for Your Co-op Travel. Before Midcounties, Gill was a store manager for Kuoni in Birmingham, and manager of two Virgin Holidays branches, one in the Midlands and the other in Hertfordshire.
Speaking on the new role, Gill said: "I am extremely excited to join Blue Bay Travel and look forward to playing a pivotal role in developing the relationships with our Midcounties Co-operative travel agent partners, as well as with our wider trade network.
"My aim is to ensure that we are able to fulfil the needs of our agent partners and continue to build upon an already successful and established foundation, whereby our trade agents are able to identify with, and sell, Blue Bay’s exceptional product range."
