According to new data from the association, Birmingham airport was the worst in the UK for delays last year, with average wait times reaching 12 minutes and 24 seconds.
Southampton was the second worse, with 12 minutes, followed by Heathrow (11.48 minutes); Exeter (11.12 minutes); Aberdeen (10.36 minutes); Doncaster (10.18 minutes); Luton (9.42 minutes) and Manchester (9.30 minutes).
The ranking takes into account all scheduled and chartered departures and cancelled flights are not included.
Jo Rhodes, from Which? Travel, said 2022 "has been a different story entirely" as the sector continues to struggle to cope with the spike in passenger numbers.
"Holidaymakers have endured wide-scale flight cancellations as well as unacceptably long queues at check-in, bag drop and airport security. The government must take action to restore consumer confidence in travel."
