According to the Sussex branch of the Campaign to Protect Rural England, 17 historic buildings, some of which are listed as Grade II, would be threatened.
The proposed airport plans reportedly include one former residence of Henry VIII’s fifth wife is among those “requiring removal”, the BBC said.
Gatwick has said that many buildings will be retained or relocated.
The government announced this week that a decision on where to expand airport capacity had been pushed back until “at least October” while the Tory leadership contest takes place.
Sally Pavey, of CPRE Sussex, has said expansion "would see irreversible destruction of Britain’s heritage and quality of life for hundreds of thousands of people in Kent, Surrey and Sussex".
She urged the Tory leadership candidates to rule out expansion and "not betray the Home Counties" if they are chosen.
