According to the destination, depending on when and where customers fly from and how long they stay for, UK billpayers could save money on their energy costs this winter by staying in the Canary Islands.
It said Brits are avoiding the increasing cost of energy bills by booking long-stay winter breaks to the Canary Islands this season to take advantage of the year-round good weather and cheaper every-day goods.
On average, a hotel/apartment stay costs £80 per night, breakfast £2, coffee £1, transport £1.50, beer £2.50 and internet access £45.
