Personal Travel Agents at Co-operative Travel have been given food vouchers by parent company Midcounties Co-operative following a tough 2020.
All the 165-plus team of homeworkers have received £50 Co-op Food vouchers as a festive surprise.
Sheena Whittle, head of The Personal Travel Agents at Co-operative Travel said: “2020 has been a difficult year across the board and, like everyone in the travel industry, our Personal Travel Agents have had a tough time, financially and emotionally.
“Teaming up with our colleagues in the Co-op Food division to gift each PTA with a voucher to buy their Christmas dinner was our way of sending the homeworkers a big Co-op hug to say thank you.
“This year, more than any other, has demonstrated the value of being part of a diverse co-operative society, with divisions that span multiple industry sectors.
“Whilst our homeworkers run their own travel businesses, they are never alone. They have the unwavering support and backing of the wider Midcounties Co-operative and the security that provides during these challenging times in travel.”
In addition to the food vouchers for its own agents, The Personal Travel Agents at Co-operative Travel has given another 20 £50 vouchers to Abta Lifeline for it to award to industry colleagues in need.
