Nineteen-year-old Connor Jarvis failed to board his flight back from Marrakech to Bath, Somerset on Saturday night.
Avon and Somerset police have said his disappearance is out of character, and have launched an appeal for the teenager.
Officers are also reportedly keen to trace a British soldier who the teenager met while he was abroad.
In a statement, the police force said: “We now understand that while in Morocco, Connor met and spoke to a soldier who is from the Bath area. He was heading for an eight-day trip to the Atlas mountains.
