Florian Valmy-Devillers will take up the role from 1 March, having worked closely with Hay during the past six years and in his previous position as business development manager.
“I am honoured to continue working with the Caribbean tourism partners as we surge towards recovery. We have an exciting and innovative programme for 2022, and look forward to collaborating with our member and partners as we fulfil our mission to drive business to the Caribbean,” he said.
Hay has represented the CTO since 2009 and in 2019 her company McKenzie Gayle was awarded the contract to manage the CTO’s UK and Europe chapter after a restructure.
Chapter chair Colin Pegler said she would be missed “immensely”.
“She has a massive wealth of knowledge on Caribbean tourism and has contributed so much to the Caribbean’s tourism marketing success across the UK and Europe. However, we understand the urge to embrace new challenges and wish her all the best in her upcoming endeavours,” said Pegler.
“We are also delighted that Florian will take up the reigns to lead the chapter across UK and Europe. With Florian’s passion, commitment, tech-savviness and hands-on experience, he was the ideal choice to take the Chapter forward.”
