The London-based tour operator announced on Wednesday (12 July) that, following a management buyout, it had launched a strategic review to ensure the business continued to grow “both here in the UK and internationally.”
“Our mission is to connect people through responsible travel to help with loneliness and the climate crisis,” said chief executive Ana Jakimovska. “Since our pivot last year, we’ve achieved incredible growth.
“Our unique curated trips deeply resonate with our engaged community of millennials and we are excited about what the future holds for us.”
Over the past 12 years, Culture Trip has raised more than £134 million from investors, gathering a following of nine million unique visitors a month as well as three million app downloads.
Early last year, the company launched a new strategy and started selling trips to millennials, which led to a 30% quarter-on-quarter growth and a 78% surge year-on-year.
