The 3,660-passenger ship, which will be the sixth and final of the line’s Royal Class vessels, is due to depart on its maiden seven-night Mexican Riviera cruise from Los Angeles on 27 March 2022.

Discovery Princess took part in five days of trials and has now returned to Fincantieri shipyard in Italy for further exterior and interior finishing.

The ship will offer Princess’ Medallion Class holidays which allows passengers to use the Medallion wearable device for contactless boarding, locating companions on the ship, as well as having services delivered directly to them onboard.

Discovery Princess will sail on a series of Mexican Riviera and California Coast voyages from March 27 to April 24, 2022, before making its way up the Pacific coast for a season of seven-night Alaska cruises from Seattle.

Meanwhile, Princess has released its first printed brochure since August 2019.

The 2022-2023 Princess Cruises Cruise Collection features 39 itineraries and 65,000 copies have been sent to agents – including 1,500 homeworkers.
