In attendance were Rob Voss, chief operating officer of the Scenic Group; David Winterton, global director of brand and marketing for Emerald Cruises and Maggie Carbonell, US vice-president of marketing.
Emerald Luna’s godmother, US travel industry advocate and educator Vanessa McGovern of Gifted Travel Network, also attended the ceremony.
Winterton said the addition of Luna allows the line to offer more sailings on its "most popular" river itineraries in Europe.
"We are delighted to have Vanessa McGovern, a passionate advocate for travel agents, christen the ship as godmother and cement our commitment to supporting travel agents," he added.
