Etihad Airways will add five new A350 aircraft to its fleet over the coming months to support its goals to reduce carbon emissions.
The aircraft, which boasts high fuel efficiency and CO2 savings, has been named Sustainability50 to mark the 50th anniversary of the UAE and the airline’s commitment to achieving net-zero carbon emissions by 2050.
The carrier recently unveiled the new aircraft in an inaugural flight from Abu Dhabi to Paris, and will bring the A350 to London for the first time in May.
On 17 May, Etihad will host an evening gala in London to mark the occasion followed by an aircraft tour at Heathrow on 18 May.
