She takes up the role after a stint working as Cunard’s partnership development manager for the Midlands.
Prior to her spell at Cunard, Bird was business development manager for Tui’s cruise and maritime division, and previously spent 10 years working as a resort manager for Tui Travel.
In her new role, Bird will focus on providing advice and support to travel consultants.
Bird’s appointment follows that of Natalie Holder as the business’s head of trade, as well as another 13 head office staff across its customer service, operations, trade, legal and marketing teams in the past few weeks.
Steve Witt, co-founder of Not Just Travel, said: “Nicky’s appointment is part of our continued commitment to further develop the support we provide to our franchise family, not just for those new to travel, but for those who are expanding their businesses."
Bird said: “I was looking for a company I believed in and could see a long future career with, and have found the perfect fit.
“I researched the company and was impressed with the amount of support they offer their travel consultants – I had to be a part of it.
“I have been humbled by the highly motivated consultants I have met so far, and I’m looking forward to helping build their businesses with them.”
Bird added: “The amount of key trade partners Not Just Travel work with is also impressive. It will be great to see some familiar faces and reconnect with these partners to ensure I offer the best training and knowledge."
