The homeworking agency said Harrison, who resigned from the North-east miniple last year, was the first in a number of “high profile" roles set to be announced across the company.
In his new role, Harrison will oversee all aspects of business development and revenue generation for Not Just Travel’s consultants, including learning and development opportunities and creating better tools, systems and technology.
Formerly Thomas Cook’s head of trade sales, head of trade purchasing and distribution director, Harrison will also lead the expansion of Not Just Travel’s own trade team.
Harrison said: “I’m excited by [Not Just Travel co-founders] Paul [Harrison] and Steve [Witt]’s vision and the potential of the company and can’t wait to take the business to the next level… together, we will take the company on a massive growth trajectory.”
Witt said Not Just Travel had been “highly selective” in choosing someone to fill what he called a “unique and important role” and Harrison’s name “kept coming back to us time and time again” when speaking to industry leaders.
“His excellent reputation precedes him and we knew he was the best person for the job. He is a high-achiever who has generated high growth in companies of similar size to us. It’s a big signing for us, and kicks off our game-changing senior and middle management recruitment drive.”
Speaking alongside co-founder Paul Harrison, Witt added: “We are excited by the quality of the talent we are attracting to implement our goals and vision. Chris is the first of many new faces that will be joining Not Just Travel over the coming weeks and months and we look forward to announcing more.”
