The MSC Group’s luxury brand continues to build its management team as part of its global recruitment programme and is on target to reach 640 hosts for Explora I, the line’s first of six new vessels.
Michael Ungerer, chief executive officer of Explora Journeys, said: "We are a step further forward in our vision to create a team of diverse and multicultural, luxury hospitality professionals.
"Embracing a customer centric mindset and culture, we are poised to provide intuitive and respectful hospitality as we continue our vision to transform luxury ocean travel."
Effective immediately, the new appointments include former Azamara Cruises hotel director Heike Berdos as general manager of Explora I and Simone Canessa, who will take up the role of staff captain of the vessel.
Antonio Iaccarino and Salvatore Ciampa will both become chief engineer of the upcoming ship.
