Exsus said its overall sales figures for last month rose more than 75% compared to January 2022 – its best monthly performance since the company was founded over 24 years ago.
The operator, which started to focus more heavily on agents in 2018 with the appointment of Neil Sealy as head of trade sales, said its sales efforts through the trade had been boosted recently by its personalised marketing assets, e-brochure and the return of in-person events.
Sealy said: “Like everyone in travel, our fantastic team has worked flat out in January and it is wonderful to see their efforts paying off. This would not be possible without the support of all our amazing travel agents. We are very grateful to every single one of them.”
Sealy said that while Exsus’s beach product across the Mediterranean, Indian Ocean and Caribbean was “still proving ever popular”, the operator had seen a “rebound” of longer-haul and multi-centre demand, with Asia, Australia, New Zealand, Latin America, Canada and South Africa proving popular.
“It’s an exciting time for the business and we can’t wait to see where 2023 takes us,” added Sealy.
