Participants will be tasked with visiting checkpoints and completing challenges en route to a secret final destination where the winners will be named during bespoke celebrations.
In order to secure a place, agents must make and log at least one booking to California on Aer Lingus, American Airlines or British Airways to one of California’s gateways – LAX, SAN or SFO – between 18 June 2025 and 31 July 2025.

“With Race Across California we’re providing our European travel trade partners with a fresh, playful discovery of the Golden State’s unparalleled natural beauty and the endless possibilities of a California road trip.”
Itineraries are slated to encompass the state’s coastlines, deserts, wine countries and national parks, and are designed to encourage agents to “choose their own adventure”.
The Race Across California is the latest launch within Visit California’s wider Playful Journeys road trip campaign, which encourages travellers to choose self-drive itineraries in the destination.
The super-fam is being held in partnership with Aer Lingus, American Airlines and British Airways, as well as local DMO and attraction partners. TTG Media will also be attending the trip as the trade media partner.
