The advice effectively means any travellers who printed PDF copies of their NHS Covid Pass before 1 November will have to print a new copy to ensure it is accepted.

The FCDO said the move was necessary to ensure people’s passes are scanned correctly.

It affects people travelling to 11 destinations in total – Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Latvia, the Netherlands and Switzerland.

New FCDO advice was issued on Tuesday (2 November), which confirmed all 11 countries would accept the UK’s proof of Covid-19 vaccination record.
