Wilks joins the line from Gold Medal, where she was trade partnerships manager. She has previously held roles with Tui, Bourne Leisure and Collette.

Speaking to TTG, Virgin Voyages vice president of international sales Shane Riley said: "Hot off the back of TTG VV Fest, I am delighted to confirm the appointment of Gemma Wilks.

"Gemma is so well loved in the industry and we know she’ll raise the bar of our team once again. Our First Mates (agents) are continuing to go from strength to strength."

The appointment comes amid a restructure of the Virgin Voyages sales team, which sees former business development manager for the south and TTG 30 under 30 2023 inductee Jack Atherton move to the role of UK sales manager.

Jenny Lyons, meanwhile, has moved into the newly-created role of field sales manager.
