Paul Wait, chief executive of the GTMC, is to leave the business travel organisation to take up a new role with Southall Travel Group.
Wait will leave the GTMC in the summer after four years at the helm to become chief operating officer at Southall Travel.
GTMC chairman Paul Allan said: “Paul’s extensive efforts, innovations and phenomenal drive for success have transformed the GTMC and we now have an opportunity to continue to build on his sterling work.
“Over the last few years the GTMC has become synonymous with an entrepreneurial spirit and has enjoyed a high profile.”
Wait, who previously worked for Virgin Atlantic, added: “After over four years at the GTMC I have enjoyed incredible support from the business travel community, and the opportunity to make considerable changes to the organisation.
“These evolutions now mean that the GTMC is ready to carry on to the next phase of its exciting history under new leadership. I look forward to working with a successor over the coming months.”
