Holidaysplease’s travel franchise is to launch a sister brand this month.
The Family Holidays Franchise was created in 2016, with recruitment now under way for its new division, The Holiday Franchise Company.
Joanne Aldridge, head of franchise, told TTG it had been set up to “better reflect what we do”, with the name giving a broader appeal to prospective members around what they can sell.
Aldridge said the new franchise was aiming to recruit six members by April next year. She cited benefits such as Abta and Atol bonding upon joining and the company’s commission structure, offering 2% of a booking’s turnover instead of splitting commission like some other brands.
Last month, the Family Holidays Franchise was accredited by the British Franchise Association and the Approved Franchise Association, which Aldridge claims makes it the first travel business to achieve both.
Earlier this year, the company also recruited ex-Trailfinders manager Luke Western as business development manager to help grow and support its membership.
Aldridge said she and Western were about to undertake a year-long training programme approved by the British Franchise Association to become recognised as franchise professionals.
“We want to make sure we’re doing everything we can for our members, and we want to make the most of our accreditation because having it really makes us stand out,” she added.
