HAL took more bookings on 11 July than during any other day in the line’s 150-year history, setting a new record for single-day booking revenues in the process too.
The majority of bookings, said HAL, were for 2024 and 2025. "We see a record booking day like this as encouraging for the whole industry," said HAL president Gus Antorcha.
HAL said the bookings highlighted "significant interest" in "marquee locations" like Alaska, Europe and the Caribbean. It also saw an uptick in sales for longer voyages off the back of the launch of its Legendary Voyages range.
Bookings spanned the entire globe, though, with demand too for trips to Australia, South America, the South Pacific and Asia, said HAL.
In addition, it said its plans to homeport two Pinnacle-class ships in Rotterdam next year was encouraging bookings for sailings to northern Europe and the British Isles.
