India had initially suspended almost all foreign flights at the start of the pandemic in March 2020.
But according to the Times of India, the country’s Civil Aviation Ministry has announced all scheduled services will be able to resume from 27 March.
In a statement, the ministry said: "After having recognised the increased vaccination coverage across the globe and in consultation with the stakeholders, the government of India has decided to resume scheduled commercial international passenger services to/from India from 27 March."
Brits will be able to gain entry to India with proof of full vaccination or a negative PCR test taken within 72 hours of departure.
