Travel Neutral, a website launched by industry veteran Carla Laidler, offers subscribers weekly email newsletters that showcase carbon-neutral holiday deals, as well as a distribution channel to this segment of the market to agents and operators.
The firm currently has 85,000 members – 98% of whom said they would take a minimum of one international holiday in 2022 and 40% looking to take two or more trips abroad in 2022.
As part of the partnership, agents will be able to calculate the carbon footprint of flights, hotels, cruises and trains using a calculator and service provided by Travel Neutral’s partner CarbonIte. The cost of the offsetting will be used to fund global carbon-neutralising projects.
Travel Neutral and Inspire will begin testing consumer offers in May, after which Travel Neutral will start to offer agent and operator advertising opportunities.
