The new service is flown under Loganair’s codeshare agreement with British Airways as well as offering connections with other partner carriers. The 12.30 departure from the Isle of Man is designed to attract those with onward afternoon and evening flights from Heathrow.
Loganair has also increased its London City airport services from the island to allow for a day return four days a week.
Both routes will be operated by 72-seat ATR72-600 aircraft and are enabled by Loganair’s Isle of Man-based team of 30 pilots, cabin crew and engineers.
Jonathan Hinkles, Loganair’s chief executive, said: “As businesses in the Isle of Man start on their journeys to recovery from the pandemic, we know that connectivity to London’s central business district and trade with the wider world is of huge importance.”
Fares on Isle of Man-London services start at £73.99 one-way including a 15kg checked baggage allowance. Maximum fares are £283.99 return for a fully-flexible ticket including 30kg baggage and FastTrack security access.
