Tony Roberts, vice-president UK and Europe confirmed that the Loose Women star had completed filming on an episode for the third series of the Channel 5 show although did not reveal which Princess ship she had sailed onboard or in which region of the world.
“What I can tell you is that it is somewhere that we have never filmed any kind of documentary of cruise programme before – a total new destination for Jane to bring to life,” Roberts told media and trade partners in London.
“We are no strangers to being on TV [with ITV’s fly-on-the-wall documentary The Cruise] but this year we had the opportunity to do something a little bit different.”
Roberts admitted that the line was “maybe a little bit cynical” when first hearing about the show but had been won over after watching it.
“After seeing the programme and seeing the great job that Jane does in terms of explaining cruising and bringing cruise into a whole new audience we started to get very excited about it,” he said.
“What I can tell you is that she had an amazing time onboard and had a great time with the whole crew from Channel 5.”
Princess is the latest line to feature on the popular show which during two series has seen McDonald cruise with the likes of Celestyal Cruises, Uniworld, Avalon Waterways, MSC Cruises and Viking Ocean Cruises.
