Additional flights will operate to Ibiza and Majorca, Dubrovnik and Split, Corfu, Crete (Chania and Heraklion), Kos, Kefalonia and Rhodes, and Dalaman. The airline and operator will also offer Rome and Athens city breaks from Stansted for the first time.
It comes after Jet2 chief executive Steve Heapy, speaking at the Jet2 conference earlier this month, said Jet2.com and Jet2holidays would look to launch new destinations over the coming months, and strengthen its position in the Mediterranean.
In total, 2.1 million Jet2 seats are on sale from Stansted for summer 2023 across 42 sun and city destinations, an increase of more than 10% compared with summer 2022. Jet2 will also assign a 16th aircraft to Stansted at peak times next summer – July and August – when it will operate more than 225 flights a week.
Jet2 will operate 20 flights a week to Majorca from Stansted next summer, 14 to Tenerife, 13 to Dalaman, 11 each to Antalya and Faro, and 10 each to Ibiza and Heraklion.
“This expansion is the latest demonstration of our continued commitment to investing in our London Stansted operations," said Heapy.
"Earlier this year, we celebrated five years since the launch of flights and holidays from London Stansted, and since day one the reaction from customers and independent travel agents has been incredible. We are all set for our biggest-ever summer from London Stansted airport."
