Jet2.com and Jet2holidays has acquired new slots at Stansted, allowing it to base an extra aircraft at the Essex airport and offer more flights and holidays to the Balearics, Croatia, Greece and Turkey.

Additional flights will operate to Ibiza and Majorca, Dubrovnik and Split, Corfu, Crete (Chania and Heraklion), Kos, Kefalonia and Rhodes, and Dalaman. The airline and operator will also offer Rome and Athens city breaks from Stansted for the first time.
It comes after Jet2 chief executive Steve Heapy, speaking at the Jet2 conference earlier this month, said Jet2.com and Jet2holidays would look to launch new destinations over the coming months, and strengthen its position in the Mediterranean.
