Dart Group’s new name was formally registered with Companies House on Wednesday (16 September) the firm confirmed in a note to the stock exchange.
The move comes after Dart sold its distribution and logistics business Fowler Welch earlier this year, making the firm’s sole interests its two leisure travel brands – airline Jet2.com and tour operator Jet2holidays.
Steve Heapy, chief executive of Jet2.com and Jet2holidays, has been appointed chief executive of Jet2 plc, with Philip Meeson remaining as executive chair.
