The airline and operator has put extra Faro and Madeira flights and holidays on sale from England and Scotland following the green list announcement on Friday.
Additional Portugal flight and holiday options are available from seven Jet2 bases – Birmingham, Bristol, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Manchester, Newcastle and Stansted – and amount to around an extra 10,000 seats for the summer.
Jet2 will operate to Faro, serving the Algarve, from all 10 of its UK bases this summer, and will offer Funchal (Madeira) from all but one.
Steve Heapy, Jet2.com and Jet2holidays chief executive, said: “We know there is extraordinary demand out there for holidays to the sunshine, which is no surprise given the past year or so.
"As things open up again, combined with positive vaccination and infection rates, one of the very first things people want to do is get away to relax in the sunshine.
"We are pleased to see governments reopening travel so that holidaymakers can do this, and the response to Portugal going on the green list from customers in England and Scotland has been exceptional."
Jet2’s extended Faro programme includes:
- Birmingham – weekly Saturday services added from 3 July to 17 July, meaning daily services in July
- Bristol – flying programme brought forward to start from 2 July instead of late August, with Monday and Friday services providing more choice and flexibility during the peak holiday season
- Glasgow – weekly Sunday services added from 27 June through to 8 August, meaning up to four weekly services
- Edinburgh – weekly services added every Tuesday from 29 June through to 31 August, meaning up to five weekly services
