It brings the carrier in line with its sister operator, and means all children under the age of two travelling with Jet2 now travel for free, whether it’s on a package holiday or flight-only.
The new policy applies to all new bookings made with the airline from Friday (22 August). Children must be under two at time of travel for it to apply.
Free travel for under twos is available on Jet2’s destinations across Europe, the Canaries and the Mediterranean.
In addition, with immediate effect, Jet2.com will no longer charge excess for child or infant equipment checked into the hold.
Besides an extra 10kg allowance for children under two, customers can be bring up to two items per eligible child free of charge to be checked into the hold.
These can include a collapsible pushchair, pram or buggy, car seat or booster seat, baby carrier or travel cot. Plus, the 10kg weight limitation no longer applies to these items.
