Jet2holidays has confirmed its new Jupiter Albufeira Hotel in Portugal has finally opened following delays to its refurbishment.
The tour operator last month apologised after a number of holidaymakers were forced to change their travel plans due to the hold-up.
The 400-room former Montechoro Hotel was taken over by the Jupiter Hotel Group after the summer 2017 season, with Jupiter planning a five-star makeover.
Jet2holidays started taking summer 2018 bookings for the hotel last year but come June 1, when the hotel was due to reopen, the works were ongoing.
In its apology, Jet2holidays said it had sought assurances from the hotel’s management team it would be open for business for July 1.
A Jet2holidays spokesperson this week confirmed to TTG the hotel was fully operational.
