Having already hosted seven trade trips this year, it means Jet2holidays will host a total of 16 fams in 2022 for more than 150 independent travel agents.

So far the firm has hosted three trips in April to Majorca, Tenerife and Benidorm, two in May to Antalya and Rhodes, one in June to Menorca and the most recent one to Portugal last week.

From 12-14 July, the tour operator took eight agents from Northern Ireland to the Algarve for a two-night trip, staying at the 3HB Guarana Hotel – which will also host Jet2holidays’ annual VIP Conference in November.

In September, the company will host a further four fam trips taking approximately 40 agents to Palma, Malaga, Fuerteventura and a fourth destination yet to be disclosed.

This will be followed by another four trips in October to Corfu, Antalya and Bodrum and a destination yet to be revealed and one in November to Paphos.

Alan Cross, head of trade at Jet2holidays, said: "As well as strengthening our relationships with our independent travel agency partners, these trips are also the ideal opportunity to showcase our award-winning VIP customer experience and huge range of destinations on offer.

"With such strong demand for our package holidays, there is no better time for independent travel agents to get up to speed with our product and our destinations and bolster their sales."
