Seven-day Treasures of Turkey packages are on sale now, and include Jet2.com flights, four-star half-board accommodation, a 22kg hold luggage allowance, transfers from Antalya and the services of English-speaking expert guides.
The tours are the latest addition to Jet2’s Discover More collection, with departures available from early April through to the end of October 2023 and 2024 from all 10 of Jet2’s UK bases.
Jet2 describes Discover More as a "new and growing range" of holidays and breaks designed for those looking for adventure, history, culture and scenery. The airline and operator said the new product had been designed to meet increasing demand from customers looking for more "discovery-based" experiential holidays.
Treasures of Turkey tours will depart every Friday, and will see guests take in Turkey’s landscape by coach, visiting 14 historic sites along the way.
These include the ancient city of Ephesus, the rock formations of Cappadocia, and Pamukkale’s "cotton terraces", all recognised by Unesco for their cultural and historical significance.
In addition, each tour includes visits to other historic sites such as Konya, the ancient city of Perge, Mevlana Mosque and Museum, Hierapolis, Miletus and Didyma.
The launch comes after Jet2.com and Jet2CityBreaks launched flights and city breaks to the Norwegian city of Bergen, opening up the country’s famous fjords – with these breaks also forming part of Jet2’s Discover More range.
Other Discover More products include Iceland breaks, Croatian cruises, Jet2’s Christmas markets programme, and its city break programme.
Steve Heapy, Jet2.com and Jet2holidays chief executive, said: “We know many of our customers want to experience the rich history and culture this fascinating country offers.
"The launch of our escorted Treasures of Turkey tours mean customers get to enjoy all the benefits of Jet2holidays, with expert guided tours to a treasure trove of world-renowned historic sites included too.
"From speaking with customers and independent travel agents, we know that these tours will be enormously popular, and they are a fantastic addition to our exciting Discover More collection, which we know is going to be a huge hit."
