“Life Behind the Lens” will take place on January 28, at the Royal Geographical Society, Kensington.
It will feature wildlife filmmakers Patrick Morris and Huw Cordey, who will give their personal insights into the making of TV series such as Life, Galapagos, South Pacific, Planet Earth and The Hunt.
Just a Drop said the talk would also examine the making of BBC Earth’s 3D theatrical film Enchanted Kingdom – which takes viewers on a journey through Africa.
Proceeds of ticket sales will be donated to Just a Drop, with a charity raffle also taking place on the night.
Patrick Morris, producer, director and series director of many wildlife documentaries said: “This is a great opportunity for me to share our struggles and triumphs over our respective years of filming.
"There is a lot of work, thought and planning that goes on behind the lens to make sure our audience sees what they do. I am especially pleased that we are supporting Just a Drop, given that water has had a huge impact on many of our film-making experiences - something I will be highlighting during the talk.”
Fiona Jeffery chair and founder of Just a Drop added: “The insight Patrick and Huw can share will make for a fascinating and enlightening evening. It’s also wonderful that funds raised from this event will help us to continue to transform the lives of communities worldwide through the provision of clean water and as Patrick will illustrate, water has a huge impact on our daily activities, no matter where we are in the world”
Just a Drop has delivered over 170 projects across 31 countries since its beginnings in 1998. The aim of the charity is to address the statistic that a child dies every 20 seconds from a water-related disease.
Tickets for the event are £15 and can be booked via www.eventbrite.co.uk, search for ‘Life Behind the Lens’
