The Advantage Travel Partnership has appointed a head of business travel commercial and innovation.
Simon Bennett, formerly of Key Travel, will take on the new role to support “the overall business travel proposition of the consortium”.
Prior to Key Bennett spent seven years with lastminute.com, where he helped steer the OTA through an Initial Public Offering (IPO).
He has also previously sat on the Abta aviation committee.
“I am genuinely excited to be joining the Advantage team and cannot wait to meet the members,” he said.
“I look forward to utilising my skills and experience from a commercial and technical standpoint, to bring exciting and relevant products to the membership.
“Advantage have a lot of plans for the year ahead, and I am looking forward to being part of them.
“The vision we have for the Advantage Travel Partnership is to ensure we continue to lead the way in offering the widest range of airline content and commercial arrangements, and the best in class technology providers.”
Julia Lo Bue-Said, chief executive of Advantage, said: “We continue to build on our future vision and develop the people structure as we continue to grow the consortia. It is an exciting time for us, and we look forward to working with Simon.”
Bennett joins the team following the announcement of Lee Ainsworth being promoted to head of Advantage Holidays and Olga Kelly’s promotion to head of people and talent.
