TTG’s online seminar series is returning on Thursday with a focus on Build Back Better, as the industry looks to rebuild itself post Covid-19.
While planes might be back in the sky, hotels may be opening their doors and a modest number of holidaymakers are returning to the beach, the travel industry’s journey to recovery is far from over.
This latest TTG seminar will examine recent market activity, explore how operators are winning back business by assuring customers, and offer key advice on best practice for marketing during these challenging times.
The afternoon will begin at 2pm with a presentation by The Travel Trade Consultancy director Martin Alcock, who will discuss how to “put the building blocks in place” to kickstart your business, as travel bookings slowly start to pick up again.
This will be followed with a session focused on utilising marketing to tell a positive story about the travel industry, with speakers including Ross East, head of marketing, The Travel Network Group, Sally Winfield, chief executive, Accord Marketing and Bart Quinton-Smith, head of digital marketing, Tui.
After a short break, the seminar will return with a focus on river and escorted touring, to find out how three operators – Riviera Travel, The Travel Corporation and Vivu Journeys – have adapted their product for this new world and how agents can best promote these sectors in the current climate.
The afternoon will conclude with an interview with Virgin Atlantic’s chief commercial officer Juha Jarvinen in the week the airline returns to the skies, and just days after its £1.2bn refinancing package was confirmed.
