The new target was set after Kuoni raised more than £20,000 following a series of fundraising activities. It is now aiming to raise another £20,000 by the end of December 2023.

The team are hoping to achieve their goal through bake sales, sponsored walks and team challenges.

Derek Jones, chief executive of Der Touristik UK, said the support of Mind had “opened up the conversation about mental health internally”.

“It’s essential that we keep that going and keep people talking,” he added.

Charlotte Porter, head of corporate partnerships at Mind, said the pandemic had had a “devastating effect on the nation’s mental health, especially for those of us with existing mental health problems”.

“It is vital that everyone has access to the right support, advice and information when they need it,” she added. “The money raised by Kuoni will enable us to continue to provide support so that no one has to face their mental health problem alone.”
