The Latin America specialist reported an uplift of 120% on Costa Rica enquiries compared to January 2020.
The country is one of the tour operator’s most popular destinations in the continent, which Latin Routes said was because of its "incredible biodiversity and stunning fauna and flora".
Due to a reported pent-up demand and ongoing challenges with flight availability, Latin Routes has advised its agent partners to encourage clients to think beyond summer 2022 to secure better rates and availability.
Gaynor Atherton, senior business development manager for the brand, said the firm "couldn’t be happier" to see the uptick on enquiries and bookings for Latin America after almost two years of a "devastating" pandemic.
"Due to the combination of high demand and availability challenges we are now encouraging our partners to offer Costa Rica beyond the summer 2022 season to secure better options for their clients," she added.
The operator’s Highlights of Costa Rica 12-day tour explores the main highlights and the country’s varied eco-systems and "abundant" wildlife. November 2022 departures come in at £2,199pp.
