Leger Holidays has more than doubled its range of UK tours with the addition of 20 new options for 2021 and beyond.
Head of retail sales Ashley Dellow said that although the escorted touring and coach specialist was better known for its European breaks, the addition of more UK product wasn’t just a reaction to increased demand for domestic holidays brought on by the Covid crisis and would form a key part of its offering for years to come.
Its expanded portfolio of 33 tours, ranging from three- to eight-day options – are bookable from June 2021 through to November 2023.
It also includes a 14-day Best of UK and Ireland tour.
Four-day breaks lead in from £269pp.
"As Great Britain comes out of lockdown, there’s unprecedented demand for holidays at home. A fully escorted coach tour ensures a stress-free holiday to enjoy glorious scenery, splendid towns and cities, fascinating historic sites and plenty of cultural landmarks," said Leger.
Breaks cover the UK top to bottom from the Devon and Cornwall coast, taking in the iconic Eden Project, to Scotland’s Highland railways and Hebridean landscapes.
There are also trips to Snowdonia, Northumberland, the Peak District, the Isle of Wight, the Lake District, Yorkshire, the Cotswolds, Edinburgh and Cardiff.
Returning favourites include the Edinburgh Military Tattoo, Stirling and the Trossachs, York Christmas Market and Grassington Dickensian Festival, and battlefield tour Our Finest Hour: The Battle of Britain.
"Leger Holidays is well known for its European escorted coach holidays and previously included maybe just a dozen UK tours in their collection," said Dellow.
"The number has been significantly increased with the addition of 20 new UK tours. This isn’t just in reaction to ’2021 being the year of the staycation’ - the holidays are also featured in Leger’s 2022 and 23 collections and can be booked right through to November 2023."
It comes after sister brand, Shearings, in February announced 21 new "more included" UK tours, ranging from five to eight days with prices from £399pp.
