The company, which was founded in 2020 by TTG 30 Under 30 alumnus David McDonald, hosted an evening at its head office for Protected Trust Services members.

The event featured games of bingo with Chillimix’s resident drag queen, Sandy Beach. 

The operator is in final discussions with consortia to allow UK agents full access its portfolio of holidays. 

McDonald, who also owns independent travel agency group World Travel Lounge, told TTG last month Chillimix is recruiting for a three-person trade sales team. 

“We launched Chillimix as I saw a gap in the market for a specialist tour operator focusing on LGBT+ holidays,” said McDonald.

“Our team research extensively to ensure every single package and product Chillimix offers are within LGBT+ safe destinations, and the entire Chillimix team are all incredibly knowledgeable enabling them all to support all UK travel agents with expert advice to support their LGBT+ clients.”

McDonald added: “We wanted to make sure our launch events encompassed our brand and slogan – ‘Holidays to be proud of’ – and we most definitely accomplished this. 

“It is important to the entire team that our events are informative, bright and fun. The feedback has been incredible and we are excited to host more launch events as we roll out to further consortia and travel agencies.”
