Ryanair will operate twice-weekly flights to the Balearic island starting in May. Sale fares for travel through to the end of October lead in from £29.99.
Jason McGuinness, Ryanair director of commercial, said that while the new route would help up capacity this summer, the budget carrier still anticipated increases in air fares this summer owing to reduced capacity.
He added the deployment this summer of 65 new Boeing 737 Max 8200 aircraft, each offering 4% more seats than the equivalent aircraft they replace, would also help boost capacity.
