MSC Cruises has opened sales for new-ship MSC Euribia’s inaugural European season from the German port of Kiel.
The liquified natural gas-powered (LNG) ship, which is set to become the line’s most environmentally advanced vessel to date, is currently under construction at the Chantiers de l’Atlantique shipyard in France and is due to be delivered in early June 2023.
The vessel will offer seven-night itineraries sailing from Kiel to the Norwegian fjords with weekly departures, calling at Copenhagen, Hellesylt, Alesund and Flaam.
Voyagers Club members who book Euribia will benefit from their usual 5% discount plus a further 5% booking discount. In addition, Silver, Gold, and Diamond members will also receive €/$ 50 per person in onboard credit.
Pierfrancesco Vago, executive chairman of the Cruise Division of MSC Group, said the line has "made it our mission to equip our ships with the latest and most advanced environmental technologies and solutions".
Euribia will become the second LNG-powered ship in MSC Cruises’ fleet. The fuel will reduce CO2 emissions by up to 25% compared to standard alternatives.
The vessel will also utilise an advanced wastewater treatment system, as well as an underwater radiated noise management system to minimise the effects of vibrations on marine life.
