The conference had been due to be held in Istanbul in September. However, plans to host the event in Turkey have been pushed back to 2022 owing to the country’s presence on the UK government’s red list.
The event will now take place onboard Virtuosa, which will be "at sea" throughout the conference.
This year’s conference will also be open to all involved in the travel and tourism industry, including non-ITT members.
"We are very excited about the opportunity for ITT’s members and other travel and tourism industry delegates to meet in-person for this three-night event," said ITT chair Steven Freudmann.
Virtuosa will depart Southampton on Saturday 11 September and return on the morning of Tuesday 14 September.
Guests will be required to be fully vaccinated against Covid-19, and to have had their second jab no later than 27 August.
"We are confident the 2021 ITT conference is now able to proceed and that the event will offer a fantastic blend of engaging conference sessions, social activities and networking opportunities," Freudmann added.
Any existing registrations or accommodation bookings for the proposed 2021 conference in Istanbul will be carried over to the new event.
Anyone unable to make the revised dates will be able to transfer their booking to the ITT’s 2022 conference in Istanbul, which will be held over 14-16 June 2022.
Further updates on the format of the conference, the speaker programme and the cabin options onboard MSC Virtuosa will be provided in the coming days.
