The new branch will be located in Elgin High Street, around an hour’s drive away from the brand’s first and only other location in Inverness.
Scott Murray, director of Murray Travel, said the build-up to launching the new branch in December was "exciting", despite being "tainted" by the increase in concern over the Omicron variant of Covid-19.
"Once that passes, the excitement will be back," Murray continued. "We feel that the opportunity is there and the time is right.
"We have an amazing team of experienced, local agents, so giving them an inspiring place to conduct face-to-face meetings with their clients makes total sense."
The store will employ three full-time staff members, and Murray hopes to build the team in the future as the industry recovers and the firm establishes a client base.
The opening of the new store comes as part of an ambitious three-year growth plan.
Murray told TTG about his plans to launch a third branch in March 2022 and a further five to eight high street locations before 2025.
"We have been on target this year, with the exception of December, so we are happy with the levels of sales at the moment, and looking forward to building in them further," Murray concluded.
