The cruise line said that the tier system would offer the trade extra benefits based on the number of points they build up during a year.
Points will be awarded depending on the level of cabin booked onboard NCL’s ships. They can then be saved and spent on gifts or vouchers from the NCL Freestyle Rewards catalogue.
The new tiers, called Silver, Gold, Platinum, Sapphire and Ambassador, will give agents access to more benefits based on the number of points achieved over a one-year period.
Agents who have already been taking part in the rewards programme will automatically be assigned a tier, based on points earned during the past 12 months. They will be able to monitor their points and tier status when logged into their accounts.
Those who make bookings up to 31 March will also be entered into a prize draw to win one of 50 cabins for two on new ship Norwegian Prima’s inaugural sailing in August 2022.
Gary Anslow, NCL’s senior director of sales for the UK and Ireland, said: “NCL Freestyle Rewards has been a great success. In just one year we have signed up over 4,000 agents, and we’re excited to see it continue to grow.
“We continue to support our valued travel agent partners and reward them for their commitment and loyalty to NCL.
“The new tier system provides even more opportunities for agents to benefit, particularly as demand returns and as we launch the new Prima Class and Norwegian Prima this summer.”
