The New Zealand government has brought forward plans to reopen its borders to fully vaccinated overseas arrivals after more than two years of Covid-19 travel curbs.

The campaign will 'inspire' agents to sell the destination

As of 1 May, travellers with a full course of a recognised Covid vaccine from around 60 countries on a visa-waiver list, which includes the UK, can enter the country without needing to isolate on arrival.

Fully vaccinated Australian visitors can return from 11.59pm on 12 April.

However, a negative pre-departure test is still required for most travellers. Visitors will also have to take a rapid antigen test on the day of arrival and on day five or six.
